Easy to use and very precise

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
I didn't really know anything about blood pressure monitors until I got this thing. It is surprisingly very easy to use and seems to be rugged with a professional cuff. It comes with a Quick Start guide to get you up and running within minutes - much easier to use than an mp3 player!

The main buttons are big enough for elderly users to navigate easily. There is one big switch labeled "A" and "B" so that two people can share the unit which will average each person's blood pressure. The average is really what is most important. Simply put the easy-to-fit cuff on your arm and press the big "Start/Stop" button. The cuff inflates, the numbers climb and lower (reminiscent of a slot machine), the cuff deflates, and the reading is shown.

I say it is precise because it gave the same readings over and over for me. Later my BP was a little different, but again it gave consistent readings at the later time. I have no way of knowing whether it is accurate without comparing it to a more reliable machine, but I have no reason to doubt it.

Setting the date and time is optional, and is covered in the Quick Start guide. It is no harder than setting the clock on you VCR, but we all know how many people find that challenging. It can be used with either the AC adapter (included) or 4 AA batteries. Since the thing has a pump to inflate the cuff, I suspect that it would use up the batteries pretty quickly - I'm not sure.

A nice device that I'm happy with.
